Monday to Friday, 7:30 \u2013 12:05 and 13:15 \u2013 17:05 are defined as \u201cMIL ON\u201d. All other times are \u201cMIL OFF\u201d. In the alpine region, during \u201cMIL ON\u201d, we are restricted to a ceiling of FL130; in \u201cMIL OFF\u201d this rises to FL150. These heights correspond to roughly 3950m and 4550m ASL at standard QNH.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The main significance of this distinction for us is that we are allowed extra height to play with at weekends and in the late afternoon.\u00a0 However, it may also provide us with a window of opportunity to fly through parts of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.flyfiesch.com\/?page_id=109\">Sion TMA<\/a> at lunch-time (as well as after 17.05), as this airspace is usually only activated during &#8220;MIL ON&#8221; periods.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The week is divided into two military airtime regimes, called \u201cMIL ON\u201d and \u201cMIL OFF\u201d.
