Sometimes helpful if there is an inversion, or if you are looking for a hike and fly opportunity, there is an easy (unofficial) takeoff option 350m above the Fiescheralp gondola station (Kühboden), accessed by a well maintained hiking path.

As you can see from the header image, this is a gentle grassy slope, and is a technically simple launch.  From here, you are well positioned to glide over the Talegga spine towards the large farm building at Salzgäb 2273m, where one of the most reliable thermal trigger points in the Fiescheralp area is located.
